Adding a person to your rescue or shelter is easy with BARRK! For easy search and better organization, there are two (2) types of people: 1) Adopters, and; 2) Volunteers which include fosters and key organizers/administration. |
To add a person, open the PEOPLE category from the Main page - or - by using the People icon
on the top of your navigation bar.
ADD AN ADOPTER
- Click the "Add a Person" button.
- Fill in the person's name, assign a group (in this case "Adopter",) and select the "Adopter" box.
- Fill in the contact information under the "Information" tab, then click on the "Adopter" tab above the information screen.
- Fill in the adopter information. If the adopter is adopting an animal immediately, click on "Adopting Dog" button.
- Click "Save."

ADD A VOLUNTEER
- Click the "Add a Person" button.
- Fill in the person's name, assign a group (in this case "Volunteer" or "Board Member") and select the "Volunteer" box.
- Fill in the contact information under the "Information" tab, then click on the "Volunteer" tab above the information screen.
- Fill in the volunteer information by adding the volunteer's title, choosing the volunteer's role(s) from the list (you may choose more than one), and any notes you'd like to record.
- Click "Save."
ADD AN ADMINISTRATOR
Once a person has been added and their information is saved, you can easily add them to the organization's administration. Please visit the ADDING AN ADMINISTRATOR page for further instructions.
