Getting to Know BARRK

When you first login to BARRK, the HOME PAGE appears which contains the gateway to the application's main categories

  • The page's category icons correspond with the icons on the top bar, which are always visible for easy navigation.
  • To access a category, click either an icon on the top navigation row or the button on the main page screen.
  • By clicking on the BARRK logo at the top left, you will be brought back to the home screen as shown below.

Now, let's have a quick peek at the categories:

ANIMALS = keep track and manage animal records (name, gender, age, etc.)
PEOPLE = detailed records of volunteers, adopters and administrators
VETS = records of veterinarians that provide medical services to your rescue or shelter
VET VISITS = keep track of vet appointments and treatments for the animals in your care
INVENTORY = keep track of your supplies such as food, toys, kennels, etc.
EVENTS = easy to view calendar for planned events such as fundraisers, meetings, etc.
DOCUMENTS = expenses and receipts
REPORTS = custom reports, save, csv export
ADMIN = manage BARRK users, billing, data options

TIP: If you are starting a fresh BARRK profile, and wondering which category to start with, may we suggest:
1) Fill in your ADMIN category first - data options, BARRK users
2) Add your PEOPLE - volunteer and adopter records
3) Add VET records - for each vet, enter the contact info, etc.
Once you have these three categories organized, adding animal records becomes easier as you can link all the information at once!
