BARRK makes keeping track of the animals in your rescue or shelter an easy and stress-free process. With the system's simple navigation and layout, you can find what you need quickly. |
MAIN ANIMALS PAGE
The Animals category is where you keep track of your organization's animals. Click on the animals icon 
from the home page or the top navigation bar. This page will show you a list of all animals in care. High level information is available on both the animal as well as information about how to contact the human who is caring for them (foster or adopter.)
SEARCH OPTIONS
HYPERLINKS
There are three (3) categories which are active hyperlinks, providing you with more information. (Hyperlinks are identified by the brown coloured text. They also appear underlined when you hover over them with your mouse or wheel.)
- Animal Name Will direct you to a detailed information page about the animal.
- Name Will direct you to a detailed information page about the person who is currently caring for the animal.
- Email Opens your email client in order to compose an email to the person whose email address was clicked.
RECORD LISTING
- The page is organized in alphabetical order. In the case where there are multiple pages, choose the "Next" option, or enter in the page number.
SEARCH FIELD
- The upper right corner of the screen has a search field. Type in the name of an inventory item or letters of known information (eg. part of the name) and BARRK will find all matches, with the string of characters used.
- BARRK is not case sensitive.
- The complete word does not need to be entered (entering “gr” in the Search field will return a list of records containing the letters “gr” in one of the fields.)
FILTER
Narrow down your animal search criteria by selecting the filter options to generate a list of your choosing.
- Press the “Update Filters” button to save the selected filters
- Press the “Reset Filters” button to reset all filters back to the default settings
- Press the “Cancel” button to return to the previous menu
ANIMAL TYPE BUTTONS
If your rescue has more than one type of animal, this will be identified when the organization is set up in the ADMIN section. The identified animal types will result in a button appearing on this screen, as a search narrowing option button.
ANIMAL ROW ICONS
At the end of the row of each animal, are three (3) icons situated in a box.
- The first "Info" icon, takes you to the animal's detailed page.
- The "Edit" icon takes you to the animals page where you can edit / add data / or update any field.
- The "Delete" icon deletes the animal and its history from your records. This is usually only used when training or experimenting with BARRK's features.
