Converting a foster to an adopter is easy with BARRK! We love this part of rescue when there are "Foster Fails!"


To perform this action, open the PEOPLE category from the Main page - or - by using the People icon People icon.gif on the top of the navigation bar.

Tips icon.gif To save time searching for the volunteer, click on the "Volunteers" button when you open the People category!


  • Select the person by clicking their name then the "Edit" button - or - click the "Edit" icon Edit.png on the right side of the person's row.
  • Click the "Adopter" button under the person's name. A new Adopter tab will appear over the details box.
  • Click on the "Adopter" tab, and fill in the applicable fields, including checking the "Adopting Dog" box.

  • Clicking "Save" will bring you to a list of available animals.
  • Click the "Adopt" button at the right side of the animal's row. Click "OK" to confirm.
  • A blue success note will appear identifying the assignment of the animal to the adopter.

To check out the transaction, please visit the People category's main page and click the "Adopter" button on the top row.
Your foster/adopter will now be added to this list.
