People in your organization need access to information and resources. BARRK allows you to assign access to different features and information, on a per-user basis. Admins can grant privileges to assigned volunteers (users) to gain access to certain areas of your organization's BARRK profile, while denying access to others.

You can navigate to this page by either clicking on the DOCUMENTS category from the home page, or from the documents icon Documents icon.gif along the top row of any page

WHAT ARE THE LEVELS AND WHO CAN ACCESS?

BARRK gives you 4 (four) levels of privileges. This allows many personalized options on who can access which documents, reports, and other details of your organization.

  • LEVEL 4: HIGHEST LEVEL OF SECURITY

This level is retained for Administrators who have all the rights of the organization, with no restrictions. No other user, outside of another administrator, can view or access any portion of this level.

  • LEVEL 3: SECOND HIGHEST LEVEL OF SECURITY

Level 3 users can view all documents, reports and details of levels 1, 2 and 3, but they cannot view or access anything in Level 4. Level privilege options are determined by the administrator.

  • LEVEL 2: THIRD HIGHEST LEVEL OF SECURITY

Level 2 users can view all documents, reports and details of levels 1 and 2. They cannot view or access anything in Level 3 or 4. Level privilege options are determined by the administrator.

  • LEVEL 1: LOWEST LEVEL OF SECURITY

This is the default level. Level 1 users can only view the very basic records of your organization. They cannot view or access any privileges of the higher levels. Level privilege options are determined by the administrator.

Notes icon.gifIf NO Level is selected when a document is uploaded, it will be assigned a default of "Level 1". Therefore, ALL users with access to your BARRK profile will be able to see it.

TO CHANGE THE ACCESS LEVEL

  • To change the access level of a document after it has been uploaded, click the edit icon Edit.png at the right-hand side of the document's row.
  • Go to the "Access Level" box menu and select a new level.
  • Click "Save" after making your change.
