To assign-upload a document for an animal, open the [[Animals]] category from the Main page - or - by using the Animals icon on the top of your screen [[File:Animals icon.gif|30px]]. A list of saved animals will appear.

Click "Save" and your document will a) start uploading if one is chosen; or b) record a "request" on the documents screen if no file is available for upload.

From here, you can view info, download, edit, or delete the document (depending on your privileges). The icon options will be shown at the right-hand side of the document's row. If you don't see all of these options, then you may not have sufficient privileges to be able to perform all of these things. (*see above note for privileges)
There is also a "Comments" tab, for other users to add their input. This tab will leave a time/date stamp, along with the user's name who left the comment. To access the comments, you must select the "Info" icon., and then select the Comments tab of the document's detail page.
 

=Requesting Documents=
Record documents which you are waiting for (such as results from a blood test, etc) 
* Repeat steps 1 and 2 from the instructions above. 
* Click the "Request Documents" tab.

* Enter the name of the document which you are requesting and enter the access level. (*see above note for priviledges) 
* Click "Save" and you will see the file request on the animal's document screen in the details column.

* When you receive the document and are ready to upload, simply click on the "Upload" button on the right. 
* Choose the file to upload from your computer. Enter the Information area: category, description and any notes regarding the document. 
* Click "Save." 
* The "Request" in the details column has recorded the file size and the "Upload" button has disappeared.
